It is with a heavy heart that I announce that after almost three years, Bridge City Sweets will be closing.

I started Bridge City Sweets as a way to channel my love of baking into a creative outlet that I could share with others.
This company has been something that I have put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into (metaphorically of course, otherwise that would be gross) and I have absolutely loved starting something of my very own from the ground up.

This company has truly been a family endeavor. Not only have they been great assistants (thanks Mom!), but they have been some of my biggest supporters. I wish everyone could have a husband and family as supportive as mine.

While I’ve already significantly scaled back on work, I’ve reached a point where I have more painful days then non. After receiving some recent diagnoses, I’ve had to face the fact that I can no longer meet the physical demands of baking and decorating. While I would love to be able to bake for one last Holiday season, it is not healthy for me to do so.

I want to thank everyone for their support over the years. I’ve enjoyed sharing this journey with you and can’t thank you enough for your patronage.

All my best,
Kim
